Mixed age groups

The average age of the eleven people who died in agricultural accidents was 55. The youngest person was 19 years old, the oldest 84. Six of the accident victims were already of retirement age.

Reduce risks

In the routine of everyday life, dangers are often underestimated or ignored. Accident investigations sometimes reveal work situations in which risks are consciously or unconsciously accepted.

The new "Risk down" campaign (www.risikorunter.ch) focuses on precisely this and shows dangerous situations from everyday agricultural work, combined with practical tips on how these situations can be defused.

*Data collection not complete

There is no obligation to report agricultural accidents, so no statistically reliable statements can be made. Accident reports are collected on the basis of media and police reports as well as reports from authorities and affected parties.
