The Securitas Group has presented its 2017 deployment statistics.
With a comprehensive range of security services and expertise in all aspects of alarm and security systems, the Securitas AG and its specialists are on duty 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Last year, the company's employees reported 4,384,495 safety-related measures nationwide, according to the company.
Securitas writes that it develops integral security concepts and supports companies, authorities and organizations in their implementation. A multi-year comparison of traditional statistics shows that in many areas the preventive measures implemented over many years have ensured greater security in everyday life in Switzerland.
Below are a few figures from the 2017 Securitas statistics (cf. 2016):
- Alerting (police: 1,378), (fire department: 381), (ambulance: 462), (customers: 3,404)
- Observe and intervene: 325,927 telephone messages mediated (intervened on alarms, video images remotely monitored, etc.)
- Protection against fire and water damage: 84 fires self-extinguished, 184,473 fire-prevention measures taken, 10,252 open water taps closed
- Protection against theft: 250,624 building entrances closed, 1,348 keys seized that were left in the lock
- 26,748 Unauthorized persons turned away
- 102,213 persons controlled
- 6,541 defective street lights reported
- Ensured clear escape routes 3,096 times
