DigitalZurich2025" becomes "digitalswitzerland
"DigitalZurich2025," the location initiative for digital innovation, is renamed "digitalswitzerland" and thus expanded to cover the whole of Switzerland. It is also launching "Education Digital," a web platform for relevant education and training on the topic of digital.
One year after the founding of "DigitalZurich2025", the interest in the initiative is so great that the activities are being aligned nationally in terms of content and beyond the Zurich location. Under the new name "digitalswitzerland", Switzerland is positioned as a center for digital innovation in Europe.
"In order to make even better use of Switzerland's cross-industry locational advantage, a national focus for the initiative is conducive. That's why digitalswitzerland will expand into Western Switzerland, the Basel region and Ticino, and open an office at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)," says Marc Walder, CEO of Ringier AG and founder of digitalswitzerland (formerly DigitalZurich2025).

In parallel with the new brand identity, digitalswitzerland is launching its latest initiative, "Education Digital". The newly created, non-commercial web platform provides a comprehensive, transparent overview of continuing education offerings in the digital sector in Switzerland.
"Know-how is a key success factor in the digital transformation," says Patrick Warnking, board member of digitalswitzerland and Country Director of Google Switzerland. "The need for well-trained knowledge workers is high - especially among Swiss SMEs; this is shown by several studies."
The Education Digital platform currently includes a total of 21 institutions from Switzerland and Germany, according to digitalswitzerland.
