Siemens Switzerland reports stable earnings in the first half of the fiscal year. According to an in-house statement, the Group exceeded the billion mark in the first six months and was even slightly above the previous year.
Siemens Switzerland can look back on a solid first half of fiscal 2022. According to a statement, the technology group exceeded the billion mark in the first six months. At 1.079 billion francs, this was slightly above the previous year's figure. As one of the largest employers, Siemens employs 5959 people in Switzerland. Business is stable and demand for its solutions is high, Matthias Rebellius, a member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG, was quoted as saying.
Country Manager Gerd Scheller is also satisfied with the course of business. Above all, solutions that drive decarbonization are seen as a reliable driver. The company wants to set a good example in sustainability in order to be able to increasingly include roof areas for solar energy use at suitable locations. Siemens is already using the solar energy generated at larger locations.
Siemens is present at more than 20 locations in Switzerland and represents market dominance in building technology and energy distribution (Smart Infrastructure) as well as in industrial and drive technology. In addition, Siemens also plays a leading role in rail technology (Siemens Mobility), in the energy sector (Siemens Energy) and in medical technology. The global activities of Siemens Smart Infrastructure (SI) are managed from the headquarters in Zug.
