Germany: more jobs in the security industry
According to the German Security Industry Association, the number of employees in the security industry increased significantly in the first half of 2015.
"Compared to the first half of 2014, the economic survey in the service sector shows an increase in employment of almost 5 percent as well as a positive change in turnover," said Harald Olschok, CEO of the German Security Industry Association (BDSW).
Olschok attributes the increase primarily to the high demand for security specialists at German airports. But the high demand for personnel in refugee accommodations is also having a strong impact.
Olschok explains the sales growth of just under 9 percent by the sharp increase in hourly wages in some wage groups in 2015 as a result of the collective agreement.
