Viva Limmi: The big celebration begins
The Limmattal Hospital Association is proud and delighted that the celebrations for the new Limmattal Hospital (Limmi) are due to take place this Friday and Saturday. The final preparations are in full swing.

The official handover of the new building by Losinger Marazzi and Vamed to the hospital's management on September 14, 2018 marks the beginning of an important chapter in its long and eventful history. On Saturday, September 15, 2018, the hospital invites you to the official inauguration ceremony.
After a record construction period of around four years, the total contractors Losinger Marazzi and VAMED will officially hand over the new building to the Limmattal Hospital Association on Friday, September 14. Numerous hours of intensive work and a great deal of passion on the part of all partners and employees have gone into this pioneering project. We are all the more proud to hand over the new hospital on time and on budget.
Inauguration ceremony for the public
On Saturday, September 15, 2018, the public is cordially invited to visit the new Limmattal Hospital. A tour will show various areas of the modern infrastructure. From the emergency department to the ward to the kitchen to the Operating room visitors receive exclusive insights. Concerts by various groups and regional associations with a wide selection of culinary delights provide the perfect setting for this unique event.

What happens next
From September 16, 2018, the new building will be fully equipped with medical technology and furniture. Individual areas will be put into operation step by step. This means that patients may be referred to the new hospital for outpatient examinations as early as the beginning of October. In the week of October 15, 2018, the actual operations will be relocated. Areas such as the EmergencyThe operating theatres and wards will be relocated according to a detailed plan. The new Limmattal Hospital will be fully available from October 23, 2018. The dismantling of the old high-rise building will begin in November and will be completed by the end of 2019.
Important note for Saturday
Visitors to the inauguration ceremony on September 15, 2018 are requested to travel by public transport. There are no parking spaces available at the hospital or in the neighborhood. Bus routes 302, 308 (from Schlieren station) and 311 (from Glanzenberg station) run directly to Limmattal Hospital. It is only a few minutes' walk from Urdorf station.
