At IFAS 2018, numerous companies from Switzerland and abroad will ensure a wide variety of topics and a unique overview of the trends in the industry. "We are occupying all seven halls at Messe Zürich. This once again highlights the great importance of the IFAS for the healthcare market," sums up Heinz Salzgeber, Exhibition Director. Visitors will find innovations on Diagnostics, organization and facility, medical technology, informatics, nursing, Rehabilitation, physiotherapy, fitness & training, hospitality and consumption.
The Digitization trend is noticeable at the trade show. "The IT sector is represented by more than 80 companies and this requires the total area of Hall 7 and additional exhibition space in Hall 6," explains Salzgeber. Also well represented is the physiotherapy, rehabilitation and fitness & training sector in Hall 2, where companies will be showing, for example, an intelligent muscle regeneration system, optimal equipment for physiotherapy practices, innovative solutions for strengthening the back, the latest generation of treatment couches or equipment for coordination training.
Knowledge transfer and networking
Under the motto "Safely into the Future", the IFAS Forum highlights aspects of successful, safe healthcare - from the new EU regulations for medical devices (MDR) and in vitro diagnostics (IVDR), which pose major challenges for the medtech industry, to quality of life in old age and the Data security. Physioswiss - Swiss Physiotherapy Association - is present for the first time both in the exhibition and in the IFAS Forum and deals with the topic "Security of care through physiotherapy". Speakers will talk about new roles in physiotherapy in acute hospitals, fall prevention and direct routes to musculoskeletal specialists. "With its high-caliber program, the IFAS Forum provides up-to-date expertise and offers networking opportunities," Salzgeber said.
IFAS will kick off on Tuesday morning, October 23, 2018 with an opening event on the theme "Healthcare safety". This highly topical subject will be dealt with in depth in the guest lecture and the panel discussion.
