Safety fair: In a few days it starts

The trade fair for "Fire, Safety & Security", which is held every two years, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

"The security industry must be able to respond ever more quickly to technological advances and changing social conditions," says Heinz Salzgeber, Exhibition Director. "The challenges are becoming more complex, the need for information is growing and the industry is becoming more dynamic. That's why we've always made sure to both maintain the existing and incorporate new elements and future-oriented topics."

Various associations and organizations support and recognize the parallel to the exhibition Trade congress as a training unit. In addition to the trade fair, the special show also enjoys the support of important trade associations and industry leaders.

Special show: ideal platform for hazard exchange

Dealing with natural hazards is becoming increasingly important. Therefore, as at the last trade fair, the special show will address the topic of "Risk management of Natural hazards"The event is organized by the company Egli Engineering AG.

The special show offers an ideal platform for the exchange between hazard experts and safety officers. Top-class speakers will shed light on hazards and risks as well as prevention and intervention. Current topics such as risk-based handling of floods, adaptation to climate change or even protection against natural hazards will be presented with case studies from practice. In addition, officials from all levels will report in a panel discussion on findings and lessons learned from the severe weather operation in the Emmental in 2014. The presence of natural hazard experts promises knowledge transfer from practice and enables exchange at a high level. In particular, safety officers of companies will find this forum the ideal entry point to talk to partners from authorities, research and practice both for the site check and regarding possible measures to limit risks. The two associations VKF (Vereinigung Kantonaler Feuerversicherungen) and SIA (Schweizerischer Ingenieur- und Architektenverein) support the forum and the main topics "Protection of buildings against natural hazards".

Around the Natural Hazards Forum in Hall 6, the service providers and product manufacturers are represented in the exhibition area. Therefore, solutions can be found for all topics covered. Participation in the presentations in the forum are free of charge for trade fair visitors.
