The newly launched ineltec exceeded all expectations
With 162 exhibitors and 6803 trade visitors from all over Switzerland, the newly launched ineltec on September 11 and 12, 2024 was a great success. Exhibitors, associations and visitors were delighted with the variety of information, the open, focused trade fair layout and the high level of interest at Messe Zürich.

After a seven-year hiatus, ineltec opened its doors for the first time at a new location and compressed into two days. For many, Zurich meant shorter distances and met the current need for efficiency as well as the overall concept of the trade fair organizers. Focused stand presentations, people and products in the foreground was the motto of the national meeting place for the electrical industry. A striking number of visitors emphasized the clarity of the trade fair as a major advantage and perceived the personal presentations as added value in the fast-paced everyday life.
Enormous visitor interest
Shortly after ineltec opened on Wednesday morning, the halls were already filling up by the minute. At times, it was almost impossible to get through and trade visitors crowded around the new products from all the suppliers. Exhibition Director Noëlle Marti was delighted with the huge interest: "As the person responsible for the exhibition, it's overwhelming when you can surprise your customers in such a positive way. The enormous rush exceeded everyone's expectations. Exuberant feedback and beaming faces are the reward for the intensive and dedicated preparatory work of the whole team."
Range with breadth and depth
The focused presentations did not detract from the trade fair's offering. Quite the opposite: those who obtained specific information in advance via the website or found their way around on site found a broad and in-depth range of products, specialized exhibitors or program items to suit their interests. 162 suppliers presented their latest developments on the key themes of smart building, energy and the circular economy, electromobility, digitalization and collaboration to the dynamic specialist audience from the electrical trade and planning sector.
Know-how in the Speakers Corner
The program was expanded upon with talks and innovation pitches in the Speakers Corner on one of the two marketplaces and in a separate conference room. At the events, experts from industry associations and exhibitors provided information on new planning tools, special electrical systems, artificial intelligence, opportunities for electromobility and much more. The pitches were moderated by Electrosuisse and the products presented were tested for their practical suitability with specific detailed questions. A start-up pitch with three innovative founders provided an insight into new, pioneering technologies.
Young talent on the move
The proportion of young visitors at this year's ineltec was strikingly high. The promotion of young talent is a declared need of the trade fair team and was also reflected in the program. 16 school classes spent their school day at ineltec and took part in guided tours to find out about the range of products on show, innovations from leading manufacturers and career opportunities. EIT.swiss took over the patronage for the youngest students and surprised the winners of the accompanying competition with high-quality measuring devices.
The right trade fair mix
Both career starters and experienced professionals benefited from the numerous opportunities for exchange and networking in addition to product knowledge and further training. The second marketplace was more playful. Interactions, virtual reality, surveying robotics and practical skill tests provided entertainment.
Supporting partner
EIT.swiss, the professional organization for around 2000 companies in the electrical industry, provided idealistic support for this year's new ineltec launch. Director Simon Hämmerli emphasizes: "We are impressed by the large number of visitors. It shows that the industry is actively interested in technological development. A trade fair is the ideal place to maintain and expand contacts between the players in the electrical industry. This was confirmed at this ineltec."
The next ineltec will take place on September 9 and 10, 2026 at Messe Zürich.
