Security industry in high spirits

German specialist installers continue to benefit from a good business situation. In the current spring economic survey of the BHE Bundesverband Sicherheitstechnik (Federal Association for Security Technology), numerous best values were again achieved.

"The current business situation achieves an absolute top score with an average rating of 1.78 on the school grade scale," confirms Urban Brauer, managing director of the BHE. The background to this is, in particular, the increasing demand on the private market. The installers were largely satisfied with their current situation and gave it an average rating of 2.35, compared with 2.92 in 2013.

The increase in demand in the private sector is noticeable in the individual sectors. Here, for example, the burglar alarm systems sector achieved an index of 1.89 for the first time. Since the beginning of the surveys, no specialist sector has assessed its current situation so positively, as the BHE writes.

Across all sectors, the future business situation was also assessed as more promising than ever before (1.94). None of the companies surveyed is currently planning layoffs - on the contrary. Around 57% of all companies would like to recruit further employees, while the remaining 43% would like to maintain their current staffing levels, writes the Bundesverband Sicherheitstechnik.
