Useful tool for video security systems

The video security standard EN 50132-7 is designed for the practitioner. This and various other topics are addressed by the special issue "Video Security" in its latest edition.

The EN 50132-7 standard supports not only the operator, but especially the professionals in the realization of a video surveillance system. The standard also provides means for the objective evaluation of a system. The tools can be used to determine more precisely whether the images have the required resolution. What all lies behind the standard is just one of the various topics that SicherheitsForum addresses in its special issue "Video Security 2016." Other topics include, for example:

  • Object security in museums: Video surveillance no longer has only a supporting function here. The quantum leaps of recent years allow new possibilities.
  • The special issue also highlights the state of the art, but also its limitations.
  • Outsourcing (video) data to the cloud: What does that mean from a legal perspective?

The special edition Video Security 2016 with manufacturer overview will be published at the beginning of June and can be ordered here: abo.sicherheitsforum@galledia.ch
