Securitas acquires majority stake in g+m elektronik

The Securitas Group acquires the majority of shares in g+m elektronik AG in Oberbüren (SG). The company in eastern Switzerland with 60 employees specializes in acoustic systems for evacuation purposes as well as acoustic and clock systems.

Remains Managing Director of g+m elektronik: Remo Gori.

The g+m elektronik AG has established a leading position in the voice alarm market and expanded its operations technologically and geographically since 1969, writes the Securitas. Today, the company serves security markets throughout Europe and the Middle East with subsidiaries in Germany, the Netherlands and with many export partners.

Demand for combined solutions

Solution concepts for fire detection and electroacoustic emergency warning are increasingly merging, as every second counts between a fire outbreak, its detection and evacuation. According to Securitas, building regulations also increasingly require standardized (EN54-16) voice alarm systems coupled with fire detection, which increases the demand for combined solutions. Reasons why the Securitas Group and g+m elektronik AG have already worked together. The good teamwork, but also the wish of Remo Gori, the business owner of g+m elektronik, to settle his succession at an early stage, have finally led to going together, as Securitas writes. According to the statement, Gori will remain managing director and chairman of the board of directors of the company in eastern Switzerland.
