Police officers: Implement motion "Seiler Graf

The Association of Swiss Police Officers is once again calling for uniform rules for private security companies and the implementation of a motion.

The Decision of the Conference of Cantonal Justice and Police Directors (KKJPD) not to be able to introduce the Concordat on Private Security Services (KÜPS), the Association of Swiss Police Officers (VSPB) was received with disappointment. "It's a pity that after so long private security companies still don't get uniform rules," says VSPB Secretary General Max Hofmann and emphasizes: "Now we need a regulation at federal level."

Like the Association of Swiss Security Services Companies (VSSU), the VSPB has for years supported the introduction of uniform regulations that would create clarity and simplify the work of the companies involved, he said. "Of course, we accept the federalist idea and the competence of the cantons in the area of internal security. But in this sensitive area, it must be possible to create the best possible conditions for the benefit of all involved," says Hofmann.

Motion Seiler Graf to seek federal solution

"Now the federal government must finally act," Hofmann emphasizes, adding that "now the federal government must immediately Motion by SP National Councilor Priska Seiler Graf and take the necessary steps. Seiler Graf is head of security for the city of Kloten and co-vice president of the parliamentary group for police and security issues; accordingly, she is familiar with the dossier. "In order for us to finally have clarity, this motion must now be seen by everyone as an opportunity and implemented," Hofmann is convinced and clarifies: "For too long, there has been a gray area that is bad for security."
