"Stop 5G" on May 10 in Bern

Scientists and physicians from around the world - including the Swiss Medical Association (FMH) - are concerned about the potential dangers of 5G technology. The precautionary principle must have absolute priority. The organizing committee of the planned "Stop 5G" demonstration is therefore calling for a moratorium on this technology to be introduced without delay. The organizers reject the increase of the current limits of the NIR regulation and the averaging of the measured values over 24 hours. They also demand that the current peak values - instead of the current average values according to the current regulation - do not exceed the applicable limits.

Already 800,000 electrosensitive people in Switzerland
Given the current situation on our planet in terms of the environment and society, the introduction of 5G is absolute nonsense. We do not want to be exposed to radiation levels that are much higher than those of the existing mobile radio installations. These alone cause great suffering for a growing part of the population. The number of Electrosensitive in Switzerland today is estimated at 800,000 people. Many of them are already severely impaired in health and hindered in their participation in life. Not to speak of serious diseases, for which excessive radiation exposure can be a contributing factor. Furthermore, we must realize that we are all fundamentally affected, since bio-electromagnetism is part of our body. Whether it affects us concretely or not depends on the individual sensitivity, which is not yet sufficiently understood.

Wouldn't it be time to take measures to reduce the radiation exposure that is effective today instead of massively increasing it through new radiation sources? The safety of the current limits for 3G and 4G has not been proven to date - in fact, they far exceed the recommendations made by numerous scientists. They also contradict the Council of Europe Resolution No. 1815which prescribes a limit value 30 times lower than the value applicable in Switzerland today. We demand better protection and better education of the population about today's radiation exposure!

Impact on the environment and society
Today we are observing an alarming Insect decline and a sixth mass mortality. While it is not the only factor, scientific studies have clearly demonstrated the negative effects of electromagnetic radiation on honey bees. The absolute priority of the government should be directed to the preservation of life. All of its efforts should be oriented toward restoring the ecosystems that have been so badly affected.

Furthermore, this technology requires the exploitation of a very large amount of additional rare resources for the billions of networked devices and for hundreds of millions of antennas. This means even more exploitation of the people who mine these minerals, especially children! Not to speak of the Pollution of soils and waters and the mountains of waste created by the disposal of suddenly obsolete mobile devices (3 billion!). We do not want to be partly responsible for such an impossible future. Let's open our eyes!

Incidentally, the large number of networked clouds for 5G technology will lead to a considerable increase in energy consumption. The cloud is already the fifth-largest consumer of energy resources. It would be time to put a stop to this useless and destructive consumerism. Let's start taking care of our earth instead of exploiting it even further!

Data evaluation and greater monitoring
5G - due to the high data transmission capacity resulting from large bandwidths, this means the risk of the evaluation of huge amounts of personal data. There is also the possibility of increased surveillance due to the vast number of networked devices that this technology brings with it.

Who still today tries to 'research' the life processes of the inseparable bio-psycho-social entity of the human being with a long outdated and obsolete methodology and ignoring any scientific progress, e.g. in quantum physics or quantum medicine, and does not seem to know such disciplines as neuropsycho physiology, neuropsychoimmunology or neuropsychohormonology, cannot call himself a scientist. He violates the scientific duty of care and acts irresponsibly towards people, the suffering, the sick, the healthy, the children, the pregnant women and thus towards the becoming life ...

What model of society do we want for tomorrow?
Today, the priority of any political decision should be to preserve and restore life on our planet. 5G is the exact opposite of that. We will not continue to stand idly by and watch the destruction of our only home. All governments and peoples must put themselves at the service of life, and do so today. Our children have the right to a future!

What do we decide for humanity today? Do we want to recklessly take risks for the entire population and further destroy our precious nature, or join all our forces to reverse this trend? For private use, 5G is of little use (when will those 30 movies downloaded in one second be watched?), but it accumulates serious threats at the levels of democracy, security, Health, social life, individual lifestyle and the environment. Isn't it time now to think deeply about what we really need?

We call for a moratorium on 5G technology. We reject the increase of the current limits of the NIS Regulation and the averaging of the measured values over 24 hours. We also demand that the current peak values (instead of the current average values as before) do not exceed the applicable limit values. Finally, we demand better protection and better information of the population about today's Radiation exposure! We want that from today on life and its preservation and restoration are given priority. We are citizens of the earth. We have the right to live in a healthy environment, as demanded by numerous treaties co-signed by Switzerland.

On May 10, 2019, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., the national rally "STOP 5G will take place on the Waisenhausplatz in Bern.
