150th Association Meeting of the SVTI
At the 150th SVTI association meeting at the end of June 2019, the new director Dr. Raffael Schubiger was able to look back on a successful 2018 operating year. All inspectorates recorded a large volume of activity. Around 280 people attended the festive anniversary association meeting in Bern.
The SVTI enjoyed a successful business performance in the 2018 reporting year. The stable economic conditions in the industrial environment contributed to this. All inspectorates recorded a significant volume of activities and achieved solid results. Swiss Safety Center AG, which was formed at the beginning of 2018 from the merger of the previous subsidiaries, also achieved pleasing figures in its first year of operation and has already successfully positioned itself in the market. The strengthened management structure of Swiss Safety Center AG in the course of the merger had a positive impact on operations and employee satisfaction.
On January 1, 2019, Dr. Raffael Schubiger took office as Director and Chairman of the Executive Board of the SVTI. His predecessor Dr. Herbert Egolf will continue to support the SVTI in a reduced workload. In May 2019, the SVTI Group its modern extension building at the headquarters in Wallisellen into operation.
Anniversary celebrations
This year, the SVTI Group celebrates its 150th anniversary. The SVTI uses the anniversary to make itself and its activities more widely known to the public. At Inauguration and open house day of the extension building in May 2019, more than 500 people were able to gain an insight into the daily work of the employees.
