Swissbau - the focus is on digitization
Swissbau 2018 will be held in Basel from January 16 to 20. For the first time, the trade fair will present the special show "Innovation Lab".
In four halls the Swissbau around 1,000 exhibitors will be presenting their products and services in the three areas of design, construction, management and operation. For the first time, it will be held under an overarching motto. In January, for example, the theme is "Collaboration - all together or each to his own? The focus is on the Digitizationwith all its facets and challenges for the construction industry. The focus is on the life cycle of a building, distributed over the four exhibition areas of planning, shell construction and building envelope, building technology and interior finishing.
Special show Innovation Lab
For the first time, the trade fair will feature the special show "Innovation Lab"on: Companies and experts want to bring the digital transformation of the construction industry and future technologies to life. The central elements of the "Innovation Lab" are the Innovation Village and the iRoom. In the iRoom, visitors can actively participate in a construction project modeled on reality, in the form of ten different application examples. Augmented reality technologies will be used for this purpose. In the Innovation Village, manufacturers, opinion leaders, planners and researchers will present their latest products and solutions for digital construction.
And the accompanying program?
"Swissbau Focus" is Swissbau's event and networking format, which it conceives together with industry associations and other partners. In approx. 70 events is discussed, expertise is imparted and networking takes place. In addition, Swissbau offers four separate events under the name "Focus", in which innovators, entrepreneurs, politicians and users from Switzerland and abroad discuss the current opportunities and challenges. The focus is on energy, education, spatial planning, digitalization and the life cycle of real estate.
Once again, more than 100,000 visitors from a wide range of sectors, mainly qualified professionals from the fields of planning, investment, construction, trade, the real estate industry and private builders are expected to attend the major Swissbau event.
