Security market expects sales growth

Suppliers of electronic security technology will again be able to look forward to a significant increase in sales in 2018. According to the latest market survey, the BHE Bundesverband Sicherheitstechnik for the current year, growth of 5%.
Record value again?
After an increase of over 12% was already recorded in the past two years, a new record value would be reached with almost 4.4 billion euros, as the BHE writes. According to an estimate, particularly high increases are attributable to access control (+ 6.7%) and video surveillance technology (+ 6%). "Interest in professional video technology and access control is growing, not least because of their wide range of possible applications in the private, industrial as well as public sectors and because of their preventive effect," says BHE Chairman Norbert Schaaf.
Significant growth is also forecast for fire alarm systems (+ 5.3%), intrusion detection systems (+ 4%) and smoke and heat extraction systems and other systems (emergency exit systems, call systems, etc.) (+ 4%). Solid growth is also expected for voice alarm systems (+ 1.9%), it concludes.
