Basel Police" app expanded
Apps are in. Some authorities are also taking advantage of this - for example, the Basel-Stadt cantonal police.
The Basel City Cantonal Police is regularly expanding the information offered by its "Basel Police" app, even seven years after its launch. This gives the population access to important information via smartphone. Various functions have been integrated with the latest updates: The innovations include information about free parking spaces in Basel or the water temperature of the Rhine. The app also reveals where stationary radar installations are located and which events the cantonal police are holding. It uses web cams to show how traffic is flowing on the highway. It also refers to the list of administrative fines in the city of Basel and to other interesting apps on related topics.
Already available via the app was information on prevention services offered by the cantonal police, emergency numbers, notifications of witness calls, the locations and opening hours of police stations and other information more.
