10 years and not a bit of crisis
The Swiss Crisis Communication Association (VKK) celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
"As a competence center for crisis communication and crisis management, we promote exchange, networking and continuing education. The VKK is the first Swiss association for the promotion of professional crisis communication and reputation management in Switzerland," writes President Patrick Suppiger.
The association was launched on April 30, 2009 on the initiative of The Reputation Rescue Company AG. The founders of the industry association are well-known crisis communication specialists: Roger Huber, Roland Binz, Gaudenz Weber, Simon Hubacher, Patrick Senn, Peter Metzinger, Pietro H. Simmen, Urs Peter Naef and Klaus Bockslaff.
Communicate about crisis management
The VKK carries out various Events by: For example, on June 24 (6:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.), Jan Bärwalde, Head of Communications at Matterhorn Gotthardbahn MGB and a member of the VKK, will provide information about crisis communications at one of the largest tourism railway companies and services in Switzerland. Using real-life examples, Bärwalde will explain how MGB has reacted in crisis events and how it is preparing for further crises. The focus of crisis communication of this internationally known player in the tourism sector is on crises such as railroad accidents, material problems, personal injuries and forces of nature. (rs)
