BMA Bible revised
The BMA bible VdS 2095 for the safe planning and installation of fire alarm systems is available as a revised version.
Rapid response is crucial for successful firefighting. This requires, among other things, reliable fire alarm systems that directly alert the fire department, initiate evacuations or control extinguishing systems in the event of an emergency. The institute VdS tests such systems - and bundles its experience in the VdS 2095 guidelines, "Automatic fire alarm systems, planning and installation."
Extensively revised
The guidelines, known in the industry as the "BMA bible", which at the time also formed the basis of the DIN VDE 0833-2 standard, have been comprehensively revised and expanded to include special requirements and relevant background information. "New features include, for example, numerous aids for the reliable design of the increasingly diverse interfaces and the associated active principle tests, as well as a separate appendix on the use of multiple standard detectors," says Torsten Pfeiffer, VdS product group manager for BMA.
The revised "BMA Bible" now also contains compact guidelines for the project planning of aspirating smoke detectors in dual-message dependency as well as for the use of the new non-resettable linear heat detectors; included is the complete DIN VDE 0833-2 including the current corrections.
