Swissbau with safety topics

Swissbau 2020 has expanded its spectrum - the Safety Congress is part of it. The topics are already known.

"Bring everything together" - this is the slogan of the Swissbau trade fair, which will be held in Basel from January 14 to 18, 2020. And truly, at this largest event of the construction and real estate industry in Switzerland, a great variety of topics will be offered: in discussion forums, but also by the more than 1000 exhibitors.

This time, the topic of security will be increasingly represented, because, as is well known, the traditional security trade fair with trade congress will no longer be held in Zurich, but will be integrated into the thematically expanded Swissbau (more about the previous history here). Building safety and fire protection are thus even better represented at this major event.

Five half-day modules with safety topics

The 2020 Safety Congress in Basel consists of five half-day modules:

  • Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 14, Threat situation: current trends and measures.
  • Wednesday morning, Jan. 15, Building design and safety: all routine?
  • Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 15, Quality Assurance & Responsibilities in Fire Protection.
  • Thursday morning, Jan. 16, Innovations in Building Security.
  • Thursday afternoon, Jan. 16, Fire safety: selected topics.

The patron organizations are FGST Swiss Engineering, SES, SFPE, SGAS, SSI, VBSF, VBSF-Altmeister, VKF, VSSB and the Swiss Safety Center.

The speakers convey current challenges with corresponding solution approaches in their core topics. Those interested in safety benefit from this practical knowledge and the exchange among experts. In addition, a visit to Swissbau 2020 in Basel can be combined with recognized further training in the field of safety.
