The ISSS president will soon step down
Umberto Annino, long-time president of the Information Security Society Switzerland, or ISSS, will step down from his position as of April 2020.
What applies to a U.S. president also applies to Switzerland's leading information security association: Umberto Annino has co-chaired the ISSS association with dedication for eight years and will hand over the scepter at the next general meeting in April 2020. This was announced by the cyber security expert at the traditional Bern conference of November 19, 2019. No names of possible successors have yet been announced, but the board has almost completed the search phase. Today, more than 1200 security professionals and people interested in security from business, administration and science belong to the ISSS.
A "new" employer
Annino has returned to his former employer InfoGuard as Principal Cyber Security Consultant at the beginning of November 2019. Previously, he was Head Security Governance at SIX Group. In addition to his ISSS activities, Annino is also active in other organizations: He lectures at various universities and educational institutions. The IT security expert has also recently obtained the federal diploma "ICT Security Expert". (rs)
