New Head of Military Insurance at Suva
Suva elected Martin Rüfenacht as the new head of military insurance at its meeting on June 14, 2022. The 43-year-old lawyer is expected to take up his new position in the fall of 2022.
Suva has a new head of military insurance: Martin Rüfenacht will fill his position in the fall of 2022. The 43-year-old was able to convince the search committee of Suva's council committee for the position based on a "comprehensive and long-standing track record".
Rüfenacht studied law at the University of Zurich and holds a Master's degree in Health Administration from the University of Berne as well as a "Certified Strategy Professional" designation from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). The 43-year-old father of three grew up in Freiamt, Aargau.
With Martin Rüfenacht, Suva has gained a competent lawyer and an experienced manager with profound knowledge of litigation and tariffs, Suva writes in a statement. Rüfenacht has a great track record with high social competence, Daniel Roscher, member of Suva's executive board and president of the UVG medical tariff commission, is quoted as saying.
Rüfenacht succeeds Stefan A. Dettwiler, who had decided to leave Suva after many years of service.
