Alarm and warning systems: acquiring know-how
Voice alarm systems and electroacoustic emergency warning systems involve a great deal of complexity in planning and project design. Moreover, the requirements of the two systems are not identical. Further training provides basic knowledge.
It is a difficult undertaking to clear a complex building in the event of an emergency. This is because such buildings are usually used for different purposes or people from a wide variety of areas are present in them. A voice alarm system (SAA) or an electro-acoustic emergency warning system (ENS) can be helpful in informing everyone simultaneously about a hazardous situation. In this way, people can be encouraged in an orderly manner and in stages to rescue themselves and move out of the danger zone.
New: Course on SAA and ENS
The Association of Swiss Installers of Security Systems (SES) and the Swiss Technical College Winterthur (STFW) are now offering a course on voice alarm systems and electroacoustic emergency warning systems. In this advanced training course, the basic knowledge of SAA and ENS and elements from planning, execution and maintenance are taught as a basic foundation. The current and valid guidelines of the VKF and the SES and their application are elementary components of the course. The 1-day training course is aimed at interested architects, planners, safety officers, facility managers, building integrators, fire protection specialists and end customers.
The first course will take place on June 23, 2020 at STFW in Winterthur.
