This time at the A+A focused on two of the most important megatrends of our time: digitalization and sustainability. Particularly noteworthy, he said, were the innovations in the area of digitization of the working world, which were presented for the first time at the trade show. Smart wearables and PPE, ordering apps for hazardous materials management, AI-based health coaches, as well as virtual reality applications and exoskeletons are examples of technologies that will lead the world of work in a digital and sustainable direction, according to Messe Düsseldorf as organizer of the event. These developments not only support safety in the workplace, but also help to increase efficiency and create healthier working environments.

"This year's A+A has addressed current issues and challenges, provided food for thought, demonstrated approaches to solutions and promoted personal exchange. We are delighted with the positive feedback and thank everyone for the trust they have placed in us," summarizes Lars Wismer, Director of A+A. "It was great to experience how the trade fair as a platform networks and inspires the industry."

Top-class congress

The 38th International Congress of Occupational Safety and Health of the Basi (Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work) with around 3,000 congress visitors took up future topics such as artificial intelligence and the consequences of climate change. As a leading international trade event, the organization presented national and global political advances and prevention strategies such as "Vision Zero" as well as occupational science findings from application-oriented research. Christian Felten, Managing Director of Basi, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of the 38th A+A Congress: "We are pleased that the high-quality contributions of our more than 320 speakers in the 46 sessions found so many interested listeners."

Inspiring, diverse supporting program

Exciting forums and events such as the Corporate Fashion Show, which took place four times a day in Hall 15, complemented the diverse trade show program. On the A+A Catwalk, renowned manufacturers from the PPE sector presented the latest fashion trends created for a younger generation of employees, which, in addition to functionality and sustainability, also take into account the desire for a personal and aesthetic style.

The Start-up Zone not only provided an exhibition space for young and innovative companies, but also an exceptional networking platform to connect with top OSH decision makers.

The next A+A will take place from 04 to 07 November 2025.
