Distracted driving: New safety kit

The latest Safety Kit from the Swiss Federal Accident Prevention Bureau (BFU) targets the increasing number of traffic accidents caused by distraction.

When driving, your full attention must be on the road - so keep your hands off distractions such as cell phones, navigation devices and radios.

Anyone moving in road traffic should focus all their concentration on it. This is not always easy in view of the numerous sources of distraction. Accordingly, traffic accidents frequently occur with the cause "inattention and distraction".

The BFU offers a new safety kit for companies on the topic of distracted driving. Posters, flyers, a presentation and a short video are designed to make employees aware of the dangers of distraction. This is intended to prevent employee absences from the workplace and save effort, expense and money.

The documents for new campaign are available on the BFU website available free of charge.

Safety kits are available on other topics such as falls, alcohol, hiking, biking and hazard symbols on www.safetykit.bfu.ch.
