As of January 1, 2016, Abraxas Informatik AG takes over the two software manufacturers Infover AG and Epsilon Software Assistance SA.

Abraxas Chairman Paul Glutz is master of two additional companies.

The two from Abraxas The companies acquired are mainly active in the field of public administration. They complement the portfolio, particularly in the areas of police, road traffic, law enforcement bodies and taxation, as Abraxas emphasizes. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

"The acquisition of Epsilon Software Assistance SA and Infover AG is in line with our corporate strategy," explains Paul Glutz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abraxas. The company is focused on the IT market of the public sector and is striving for sustainable growth in this area.

Abraxas, Epsilon and Infover have been working together for many years. Epsilon and Infover jointly developed the Averdris road traffic office solution and maintain a strategic partnership. Abraxas had already implemented customer projects with both companies.

Owner-managed companies

Both Epsilon and Infover are owner-managed companies that have been operating successfully since 1982 and 1994 respectively. The previous owners, Jean-Marc Fritsch (Epsilon) and Lukas Bänninger (Infover), are convinced that the takeover by Abraxas is the optimal succession solution for their companies. Fritsch as well as Bänninger will accompany the integration of the companies, they say. The approximately 30 and 23 employees at the sites in Münchenstein (Epsilon) and Wil (Infover) will be taken over by Abraxas.

With the acquisition, Abraxas also assumes all contractual obligations of Epsilon and Infover, Abraxas concludes.
