Alarm triggered - police dog finds culprit
Yesterday, shortly after noon, an alarm was triggered in a department store in Wil SG. A police check was initially inconclusive - until a German shepherd dog came into play.

Immediately after the alarm went off in a department store on Toggenburgerstrasse in Wil SG, the cantonal emergency call center was automatically informed. A patrol of the St.Gallen cantonal police and a dog handler with his valuable pet then went to Wil. During the inspection of the department store, initially no abnormalities could be detected. When the patrol wanted to leave the building, the 9-year-old police dog "Aryk vom Firecatcher" suddenly picked up a new trail. It led him to another area of the building. There, a 20-year-old man could be found in a hiding place, who had presumably triggered the alarm. The police could not yet give any information about the reasons.
