Work safety shoes with sporty character
ISM Heinrich Krämer GmbH & Co. KG draws a positive conclusion from the results, discussions and feedback from the international trade public at A+A 2019. The number of visitors to the two-storey stand and many new visitors interested in the products of the Albatros and Puma Safety brands speak for themselves. The editorial team was on site and spoke to Jana Gonda from Marketing ISM about some of the highlights.
Ms. Gonda, what highlights would you like to mention and what is special about the Albatros Trekstar XP line that you will be presenting at the A+A 2019 present?
Jana Gonda: The Albatros "Trekstar XP" is a new line of safety shoes inspired by trekking. Here we have a very robust rubber outsole with Joint stabilization and Carbon look elements, which is especially great for outdoor work. The line includes a boat and three low shoes in different materials.
New is our "Quick-Lock" closure, which you can simply twist shut. By turning it closed, the steel cables that serve as laces contract, and then when you pull the knob up again, the shoe opens again. This makes it very easy and convenient to put on and take off the shoe.
What do you have new in the field of industrial safety footwear?
Another highlight, especially for dry work areas, is the AER 55 from the "dual.Impulse" series from Albatros. The midsole consists of "Impulse–Foam", a cushioning material that with every step is up to 55 % of energy returned to the wearer. We have expanded this series with the AER55 models , which are very breathable and have a new upper material from a special 3D textile fabric own. The shoe is available in various sporty designs and color combinations.
Also newly introduced is a light Summer sandal from Albatros, which belongs to the safety class S1. It has no penetration protection, but scores with its low weight and is naturally breathable. The design is very well received by visitors.
Yet another highlight comes from the Puma Safety "Motion Cloud" footwear collection. Our safety shoes from the Motion Cloud line also come with sporty designs und are based on the look of modern running shoes. The special feature here is again the new sole concept with Impulse Foam as a midsole, so that every step is cushioned. This shoe is very suitable if you are on your feet a lot at work. "Motion Cloud" says it all: it's like walking on clouds.
You do have a race car simulator at your booth?
Of course, our racing simulator is a real eye-catcher, offering visitors the opportunity to recreate the real Formula 1 feeling. We have designed this with our "Scuderia Torro Rosso" Workwear-Collection set up.
Which topics or trends particularly caught your eye at the trade show?
It's definitely going very much in the sporty direction again. And what is also becoming increasingly important in addition to wearing comfort is the Ergonomics. A lot of attention is paid to the sole concepts, what is technically hidden in the shoes.
