People make mistakes - even at work. That has always been the case. But what happens when hardly any mistakes are allowed in the work environment? This is the question addressed by the new Social media clipwhich the German Social Accident Insurance Institutions and the German Social Accident Insurance Institutions are presenting today as part of their prevention campaign "kommwithhuman" have published. The scene in the video takes place in an open-plan office. The boss patrols between the desks and approaches a female employee who breaks the tip of her pencil out of nervousness. "Of course, the situation in the video is exaggerated. But this reaction of the boss to a trifle is emblematic of how mistakes are dealt with at work," says Gregor Doepke, Head of Communications at the German Social Accident Insurance. "Anyone who flips out when mistakes are made can be sure that the mistake will be covered up the next time. Of course, there are also mistakes that are unacceptable, such as when people are endangered. Nevertheless, if managers and employees admit to a mistake openly and without fear, then everyone can learn from it together. A good error culture is the engine of continuous improvement - also for safety and health in the company." "The Pencil" is the last of a total of three social media spots for the time being, all of which were implemented by director Isa Prahl. The clips gradually pick up on the campaign's fields of action. Error culture is one of them.

Background "kommmitmensch

The action "comewithmensch" is the nationwide, German prevention campaign of the German Social Accident Insurance Institutions (Berufsgenossenschaften), accident insurance funds and their umbrella organization, the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV). The background to this is that the number of occupational accidents has not fallen significantly in recent years. In order to move further toward the goal of Vision Zero, a world without occupational accidents and work-related illnesses, we therefore need a holistic approach: "comewithmensch" supports companies and educational institutions in developing a culture of prevention in which safety and health are the basis of all actions.
