Perform Android update via the smartphone
The status of the last Android update can be checked in the settings. Depending on the manufacturer, you can usually find more information about this under a tab like About the device. Besides Google, manufacturers like Samsung, Huawei and Oppo distribute software updates monthly. Google Pixel devices will be able to apply the patch in the next few days.
Presumably, owners of other smartphones should receive their updates "over the air" in 1-2 months. To install Android updates, you usually open the Settings app and scroll down to a menu item called System. Depending on the manufacturer, you will usually find a submenu or an entry like Extendedto check the system for updates.
