Operational breakdowns, disruptions, crisis: What to do?
In view of recent events, operational disruptions and longer interruptions are considered new challenges for operational risk, safety and crisis management. Proposals and countermeasures will be addressed at the Save AG symposium on October 27, 2022.
Volatilities, uncertainties and ambiguities have influences on corporate resilience and risk management. As requirements become more multi-layered and complex, it can be beneficial to prepare for unforeseen crises such as business disruptions. Prolonged disruptions are no longer rare occurrences. Even recent events have influences on operational safety, emergency and crisis management, as well as on organizational resilience. Power security is just one example. Special threats such as cyber attacks affect both government agencies and critical infrastructure operators.
However, the increasing networking and penetration of virtually all areas of life with IT and networking of logistics and supply chains opens up high potentials that a highly developed, industrialized country like Switzerland can hardly do without. One thing is certain: Those who seriously determine the risks for their company and plan appropriate measures will better protect themselves against events and potential disruptions. At the Save-AG symposium "Business interruptions, disruption, crisis: What to do?", various experts will speak on topics such as natural hazards, alarm systems and leadership.
