BIM and safety engineering
Digitization has also reached the Swiss construction industry and is likely to lead to changes throughout the industry's value chain. For this reason, the first Swiss BIM Congress will soon take place.
On October 28, 2016, the interest group "Bauen digital Schweiz" will launch the first Swiss digital building event in the Maag Halle in Zurich. BIM Congresswhich is to be held as an annual event in the future. The manufacturers and distributors of products and services related to building security should not be left out (see article "This also concerns the security industry").
Four central questions
The event will address important issues in connection with digital construction and provide new impetus. Decision-makers from business and politics discuss the opportunities for the future in an international context and provide answers to the following questions in four blocks:
- Politics: How can politics support the construction industry in its digital transformation and strengthen its competitiveness internationally?
- TechnologyWhat will future technologies achieve and how will the value chain change in concrete terms?
- Innovation: How are today's business models evolving and how do we create space for new ideas?
- Economy: Where does the construction industry stand in digitalization today and where is it headed?
In addition to the BIM Congress, free events will be held on various dates in November 2016. BIM Seminars were held in Lucerne, St.Gallen and Zurich on the topic of "successful organization and management of BIM projects".
