Bixi is integrated into Securiton
The Securitas Group is merging its access control systems business into one company at the beginning of 2017. According to the statement, Bixi Systems AG, which specializes in electronic access control and time management, will now be fully integrated into Securiton AG. A clear market presence under the Securiton brand would best meet these corporate objectives.

The Securitas Group has analyzed the market for electronic access control systems (EACS). This has shown that the sector is constantly making greater demands due to a highly competitive and technology-driven predatory market with high innovation costs, the company writes. The Securitas Group was previously active in this market segment with two companies, Securiton and Bixi Systems - Bixi has been part of the Securitas Group since 2005. In order to ensure long-term competitiveness in the strategic business field of CCS, optimal market cultivation and product development are of central importance. The integration of Bixi into Securiton's organization is intended to achieve a clear market presence and optimal processes in acquisition, project handling and product provision, according to the statement.
Previous presence remains
The current locations of Bixi Systems AG in Mels (headquarters), Liestal and Lausanne will be retained and the Bixi employees will be fully integrated into the Securiton structures. Although Bixi products will continue to be marketed under the Securiton brand, the contact persons for Bixi customers will remain the same.
