Fire protection concrete
The university campus on the "Toni-Areal" in Zurich is in focus on March 9, 2017, on the topic of fire protection.
Until 1999, the "Toni-Areal" in Zurich West was the largest milk processing plant in Europe. Then the gates were closed and today, after a conversion, the university campus of the ZHdK and ZHAW stands there. Around 5,000 students come and go there every day. A seven-story main building with a rooftop park has been built on the almost 24,500 m2 site. However, a 22-story residential tower was also realized. 77,000 m2 of the total 87,000 m2 of usable space is occupied by the ZHdK for a variety of uses.
