Cyber attack on industrial group Bucher Municipal
The municipal vehicle division of the Bucher industrial group was attacked by hackers on Wednesday. As a result, production was temporarily halted.
According to a report by news agencies AWP/SDA, the Bucher industrial group became the target of a cyber attack on Wednesday. The IT systems of the municipal division Bucher Municipal were affected. To protect itself, Bucher Municipal had secured and shut down its IT infrastructure. As a result, production was also temporarily halted. The Municipal sites worldwide and the Bucher Specials sites in Switzerland are affected.
The Group is currently examining the IT infrastructure with external experts in order to be able to bring it back up as quickly as possible. The company does not comment on the costs of the outage. At present, the company does not expect the cyber attacks to have any impact on its 2021 results.
