Cybercrimepolice.ch goes live with a new design and national character

The Cybercrimepolice.ch website now has a national presence and a new design. In collaboration with the Bern Cantonal Police, the Zurich Cantonal Police manage the website to inform the public about cybercrime phenomena and warn them about them. The project is supported by the Conference of Cantonal Police Commanders of Switzerland (KKPKS).

The prevention platform Cybercrimepolice.ch has been given a national character. A new design was created for this purpose. The previous operator of the website, the Zurich Cantonal Police, is being supported by the Bern Cantonal Police. Cybercrimepolice.ch functions as an early warning system for the Swiss population in connection with cybercrime.

Since the launch of the Cybercrimepolice.ch prevention platform by the Zurich Cantonal Police in 2019, the online presence has successfully established itself both nationally and internationally. In 2024 alone, the website was accessed around half a million times. The content of Cybercrimepolice.ch is geared towards current cyber phenomena as well as inquiries and information from the public. In the past year, information was provided weekly on various phenomena. Cybercrimepolice.ch also networks various partner organizations.

In 2024, the Zurich Cantonal Police launched the project to expand Cybercrimepolice.ch throughout Switzerland at the request of the CCPSS and in collaboration with the Bern Cantonal Police. The nationalization of the prevention platform is also made possible by its integration into the Network for Investigative Support in the Fight against Digital Crime (NEDIK). The network ensures that Cybercrimepolice.ch serves as a uniform warning platform for the Swiss population, but also for Swiss police forces.

The website is now also available in French, which will strengthen the dissemination of prevention messages in Switzerland. The future expansion into Italian, at least for some of the content, is also being examined.
