The Covid certificate is tested for its security
The Covid certificate will be gradually introduced in the cantons from June 7. Various security tests are currently being carried out by the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC).

On June 4, the Federal Council is expected to announce the technical solution for a Swiss Covid certificate. A public security test will be conducted by the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC). Due to the tight schedule, random tests have so far been carried out at the federal level by the National Cybersecurity Test Institute (NTC). In order to further substantiate the findings to date, the system is now being subjected to an endurance test by other experts and interested parties.
The aim of the Public Security Test (PST) is to test the security of the Covid certificate and build trust before the public rollout. The Public Security Test has been running since May 31, 2021 and the Confederation wants to make the functioning and security of the Covid certificate as transparent as possible.
The source code of the Covid certificate is therefore now also available Public available. The findings from the tests carried out so far will be published in the next few days. Test results can be reported on the NCSC website using the form provided.
