German security market with best value
Total sales in the electronic security technology market in Germany rose by 7.8% in 2015. The approximately 3.71 billion euros mark a new record, as shown by the market survey of the BHE Bundesverband Sicherheitstechnik and the Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie.
Fire alarm technology achieved particularly high growth. "A sales plus of 11.2% to 1.69 billion euros is an outstanding result," confirms Norbert Schaaf of the BHE. This strong increase was due to the considerable demand for smoke alarms, he said.
The growth in burglar alarm technology is 7.4% (741 million euros). "The private market is on the move. More and more private customers are investing in the security of their own four walls," says Schaaf.
A significant increase in sales was also achieved by voice alarm systems (+5.6% to EUR 95 million) and video surveillance technologies (+5.1%, around EUR 473 million).
Access control (+2.8% to 293 million euros), call systems (+3.3% to 155 million euros) and other security systems (+2.3% to 266 million euros), which include smoke and heat extraction systems or escape and rescue routes, were also able to exceed the previous year's result, according to the recently published BHE-Press release is called.
