"This diploma furthers my career"
Yesterday evening, the Association of Swiss Installers of Security Systems was once again able to present 13 graduates with the federally recognized specialist certificate "Project Manager for Security Systems".
"I'm already a project manager, what I was missing was the 'paper' to go with it," says Heiko Kuttruff (38), who is delighted to have passed his "Project Manager Security Systems"is pleased. Yes, it makes a more professional impression on customers if you can show such a diploma, says the recent graduate, who works in the field of alarm and video technology.
Reto Schlegel is also proud to have successfully completed this in-service course offered by the Swiss Association of Security System Installers (SES) in cooperation with the Winterthur Technical College (STFW). It is a good training, Schlegel says. He once took a "Stifti" as an electrician and is convinced that this diploma can only help his professional career. What he learned at the STFW was very practical, says the 32-year-old, who now works for a security technology company specializing in fire protection.
Great performance
SES President Peter Nebiker and Stephan Walti from the SES Education Commission as well as Beat Amstutz, Head of Building Services Engineering at the STFW Technical College, were able to hand over the federal "Project Manager for Security Systems" certificate to 13 young professionals on January 24 at the Hotel Storchen in Zurich. Peter Nebiker congratulated the HSES17 project managers for their great achievement and thanked the friends of the graduates who were present for their patience, as the training was taking up a lot of their free time. The solid and extra-occupational further education also requires that one invests a few hours in the evening and on weekends. Nebiker called on the successful candidates to take time in their professional lives - especially in these fast-moving times - to keep an eye on the big picture. That is important as a project manager, he said.
13 diplomas ceremoniously handed over
The SES project manager training optionally provides the necessary skills in the specializations "Security" or "Fire". The part-time course of all modules lasts at least 18 months. Those who persevere can expect to receive a federal certificate of proficiency after passing the exam. The following graduates received this in 2019 (in alphabetical order): Rafael Aerne, Adrian Bösch, Stefan Broder, Reto Dellenbach, Fabian Haist, Andreas Jäger, Heiko Kuttruff, Stefan Nydegger, Hans-Jakob Rickli, Reto Schlegel, Rafael Schmid, Gabriel Senn and Tobias Widmer.
