DT Swiss has upgraded in fire protection

The history of DT Swiss begins in 1994, when the company took over the spoke manufacturing division of the former Vereinigte Drahtwerke Biel as part of a management buy-out. Over time, DT Swiss has significantly expanded its product portfolio and today produces a wide range of bicycle components, including spokes, rims, hubs, nipples, shocks, suspension forks and seatposts. Since January 2022, high-end brakes and brake accessories from Trickstuff GmbH have also been part of the DT Swiss Group range.

A modern headquarters in Biel was built in 2011 for around 200 employees to house offices, warehouses and production facilities. This location serves as a central point of contact for the company's global activities and combines a modern office building with spacious production facilities. In addition to the headquarters in Biel, the company operates sites in the USA, Taiwan, Poland, France and Germany and exports worldwide.

Entire fire alarm system modernized

Security is of paramount importance, which is why Securiton's entire fire alarm system at DT Swiss' headquarters was modernized at the beginning of 2023. The modernization took place during the company's ongoing operations and required minimal downtime of the fire alarm system, which was carried out smoothly thanks to Securiton AG's many years of experience. Both the office building and the factory building are now equipped with the state-of-the-art SecuriFire 3010 fire alarm system, which provides reliable protection against fires. In addition, the previous smoke detectors were replaced by the first-class MCD 573X combined smoke and fire detectors, which are among the best products on the market.
