Simple management system for small installers
Small installers of hazard detection systems can breathe a sigh of relief: Until now, every VdS recognition, whether fire or intrusion alarm system, also included proof of a quality management system certified in accordance with ISO 9001. This is no longer mandatory.
The new offering "VdS 3854 - Integrated Management System" is an alternative to ISO 9001. Until now, every VdS recognition for installers of hazard detection systems has also included proof of a quality management system certified in accordance with ISO 9001. More than one million companies in 170 countries are organized according to this standard. However, maintaining all the forms means a great deal of administrative work for small companies. That's why the new VdS 3854 guidelines were developed to meet the needs of small installers and specialized companies. "The new VdS 3854 compress benchmarks of the standards for quality management, occupational health and safety, and information security that are relevant for the success of installers," emphasizes Sebastian Brose of VdS. "Core objective of our assistance: Risk minimization and simplified process control - with high effort reduction in the not primarily productive activities."
The new VdS guidelines with a wide range of assistance on project planning, installation, maintenance and documentation are available for download. Download ready. In the future, recognized installers and certified specialist companies will be free to choose whether they want to be certified according to ISO 9001 or VdS 3854.
