Energy transition and fire protection
On June 14, the GVZ Gebäudeversicherung Kanton Zürich will hold a conference on the topic "The energy turnaround requires fire protection to rethink".
The transition from fossil fuels to renewable energies is one of the greatest challenges facing society today in order to slow down global warming, which is significantly influenced by humans. The energy transition has a strong impact on real estate. Smart buildings and sustainable buildings that can generate renewable energy or that are naturally cooled by green facades significantly reduce CO2 emissions. Modern heat pump technology and photovoltaic systems contribute significantly to this reduction.
Many innovative solutions are already available. However, there is a lack of recognized state-of-the-art technology for building sustainable construction projects in a fire-safe manner. The experts in fire protection, whether planners or authorities, are currently strongly challenged and are looking together for solutions with current know-how in order to design building projects with sustainably used energy sources safely also from the point of view of fire protection. In the context of the "energy turnaround and fire protection", the Save AG organized GVZ meeting fire protection for insights as well as enlightenment and shows new approaches to solutions.
