Eurocity derailed at Lucerne station
Shortly after departure at 13:54, wagons of Trenitalia's Eurocity 158 Milan-Basel jumped off the rails when leaving Lucerne station. Lucerne station is probably also today Thursday not passable.

According to initial findings, the fourth car of the ETR 610 train composition of Trenitalia tipped to the side, as the Federal Railways write. There were 160 passengers on the affected train. According to police, seven people are slightly injured, they were taken to hospital for clarifications. The cause of the accident is being investigated by the independent Federal Accident Investigation Authority (Sust), the Lucerne authorities and experts from SBB investigated.
In the area of the tilted car, a catenary yoke was damaged, which is why the power supply in Lucerne station was interrupted. This affected not only trains of SBB, but also SOB, BLS and Zentralbahn, the SBB said.
According to the latest information from the SBB, the Lucerne train station is still not passable today, Thursday. Buses are operating at limited capacity. The Central Railway was able to resume operations today, however.
