Evacuation - sought-after topic
"Evacuation: how it works in an emergency" is the title of a symposium to be held in Zurich on May 22, 2019. The topic has met with great interest and the conference will soon be fully booked, as the organizer writes.
The law and standards stipulate that owners and users of buildings and facilities, or employers, are responsible for ensuring the safety of persons and property. These duties and measures also include the appropriate evacuation of persons in the event of an incident. Evacuation must therefore be planned and implemented. These are the general requirements. But in practice, the following often diverge "Shall" and "Is" considerably, where evacuation planning is mandatory, what it must look like, how it must be implemented, and how the topic of evacuation is handled by the authorities.
At the Conference organizational, planning, technical, legal and dispositional questions are dealt with in this context by experienced experts. The event is recognized by the VKF, the Swiss Safety Center and the SGAS as continuing education.
