Semantic search, they say, is an attempt to overcome the limitations of the technology of traditional search engines (syntactic, like the best known on the Internet), which only identify the individual words within a text without looking at the context in which they are used: This requires using exactly the same words that were used in the original document, they say.

With the NRGlex search engine you can enter sentences in either German, French or Italian. The tool is a useful tool for lawyers, notaries, corporations, hospitals, and municipal and cantonal authorities, it says.

The tool was created by a group of legal scholars and computer scientists.
