Chainsaw man caught with two crossbows
The perpetrator of Schaffhausen could be arrested on Tuesday evening.
The suspect (see photos) was arrested on Tuesday evening in Thalwil ZH. According to police, Franz Wrousis had two loaded crossbows with inserted arrows and two sharpened pieces of wood in a plastic bag when he was arrested. The chainsaw has not been recovered yet, the police writes.
The 51-year-old, mentally distressed man was last registered in Graubünden and had his "residence" in a forest parking lot in the Zurich Weinland. As soon as he feels cornered, he can apparently react aggressively, police said Monday. For this reason, it is important to avoid Wrousis and immediately notify the police, they said.

What had happened on Monday? The operations center of the Schaffhausen police was alerted at 10:39 am: A man armed with a chainsaw had entered the building of the CSS health insurance company in Schaffhauser Vorstadt 18. The perpetrator injured five people, two of them seriously, as reported by the Schaffhausen police, who were immediately dispatched. According to information, the attack was primarily directed against the health insurance CSS, where the man with multiple convictions is insured.
