GEZE: Sponsorship for 153 children

Geze will continue to support the children's charity Plan International Germany in 2016. The specialist for door, window and safety technology will sponsor 153 children around the world.

The aim of the support of Geze is to sustainably improve the living conditions of children and young people as well as their families in their home countries.

The commitment in cooperation with Plan International Germany amounts to a total donation of over 57,000 euros per year, according to the company. In addition, the company donates a further 600 euros a month to a girls' fund set up by the Plan organization to promote an equal upbringing for girls and boys. Geze's commitment is not only financial: numerous employees are in regular contact with the sponsored children by letter and exchange their individual life stories.

"Children are our future. That's why it's very close to our hearts to support the weakest members of our society," says Brigitte Vöster-Alber, Managing Partner of Geze. "What we particularly appreciate about the cooperation with Plan is that the children and families are supported in holistically improving the living conditions in their communities - in other words, they receive 'help to help themselves'."

The support of Plan International Germany began in 2013, the anniversary year of the family-owned company; the motto at the time was "150 years of company history - 150 sponsorships". Since then, one child has been added for each additional year; in the meantime, 153 children benefit from the help. The project is one of numerous Geze commitments for children, according to the company, which generated sales of over 366 million euros in the 2014/2015 fiscal year.
