Hacker attack on Suisse Velo

Cyber attackers have stolen around 30,000 customers' data in a hacker attack on the Suisse Velo platform.

Already again a serious cyber attack on a Swiss platform: In a hacker attack on the Swiss cycling platform Suisse Velo, about 30,000 e-mail addresses and passwords were stolen, as "Watson" reported. The affected customers were informed about the attack last week. Among other things, Suisse Velo offers services such as comprehensive insurance and a breakdown assistance for cyclists.

The analysis of the attack revealed that mainly email addresses, logins and passwords were captured. According to the platform operators, no other data was stolen. However, customers' payment data was not compromised at any time.

The attack had already taken place on September 5 and was identified on the same day. As a first measure, all passwords were reset and the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) was informed.
