Hooray, passed!
Well-qualified security personnel are the best guarantee that a minimum level of quality is maintained in the corresponding private companies, the security service providers. That is why the VSSU association is pleased to have once again awarded the federal certificate of proficiency to numerous professionals in 2019.
As always in December, the Landhaus in Solothurn is "stormed" by women and men from the private security service: It is the day when the junior staff of the private security service providers receive the coveted federal professional certificates. 265 graduates can be very satisfied with their performance, as they are among those who passed the professional examination with flying colors in 2019. They are now in possession of the professional certificate and are entitled to bear the professional title of "Security and surveillance specialist" or "Personal and property protection specialist". They owe this to the Association of Swiss Security Service Companies (VSSU), which offers this training. This year, a good 64 percent successfully passed the professional examination, according to the association. However, the target of 70 percent has not yet been fully achieved.
Increasingly important for quality of life
VSSU Vice President Charles Zaugg congratulated the award-winning specialists in Solothurn and emphasized that they had laid the foundation for their professional future with their training and would thus also contribute to the professionalization of the profession. Their work is gaining in importance, he said, because safety is becoming increasingly important for the quality of life. Following his speech, he presented the diploma to the successful examinees in a ceremonial setting and in the presence of many VIPs from the security sector.
